The role of the Warehouse Interior Cleaner is vital to our daily operations, serving as the cornerstone of cleanliness and order within the warehouse environment. This full-time position involves a thorough approach to cleaning and maintenance within designated areas of the warehouse including storage zones, offices, restrooms, and break areas. The Warehouse Interior Cleaner works under the supervision of the maintenance team leaders and adheres strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures. Equipped with designated cleaning carts and pallet jacks, the cleaner is expected to manage their tasks independently, ensuring that each assigned zone is free from debris, sanitary, and fully stocked with necessary cleaning supplies.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who possesses strong communication skills to effectively report any maintenance issues encountered during cleaning rounds. Candidates should be physically capable of handling the demands of the job including standing, walking, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds for prolonged periods. The cleaner will be responsible for dusting, sweeping, sanitizing surfaces, removing trash and debris, and restocking cleaning materials. They must also maintain professionalism at all times and work collaboratively within a team environment to uphold the company’s standards. Job Requirements
- Preferred previous experience in cleaning
Job Qualifications
- Practical experience as a janitor
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional conduct and appearance at all times
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods
- Ability to use personal protective equipment as necessary
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and approximately 20-30 pounds for about 75 percent of the shift
- Ability to climb stairs if necessary
- Restocking supplies during and at end of shift
- Willingness to perform other assigned duties
Job Duties
- Remove pallets and clean debris found underneath
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas according to schedule
- Communicate clearly and consistently with supervisor regarding facility maintenance issues
- Effectively use cleaning equipment and maintain cleaning supplies in assigned cart
- Clean and dust boxes and beams as directed
- Sweep warehouse aisles and remove any debris such as empty boxes or plastic from pathways
- Ensure designated area is dust-free, clean, and restocked as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
