The Lifestyle Director is responsible for leading the Lifestyle Department dedicated to Independent Living residents. This role involves designing, developing, and executing a wide range of enriching and engaging programs that enhance the quality of life, promote wellness, and foster connection and lifelong learning among seniors. The Lifestyle Director oversees multiple program areas including transportation services, fitness programming, and signature lifestyle experiences that emphasize brain vitality and experiential learning. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach in program development, operational oversight, and team leadership. The Lifestyle Director will supervise and mentor a team of lifestyle professionals, nurturing a collaborative and resident-centered culture that values creativity, respect, and outstanding service.The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic and highly organized professional with extensive experience in event planning and experiential programming. They bring a minimum of seven years in program development and management, preferably with supervisory experience. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in leisure studies, gerontology, wellness, or a related field, or an equivalent level of experience. Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating meaningful experiences for older adults are essential attributes for success in this role. The Lifestyle Director must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and event planning platforms. Additionally, a valid driver's license and current CPR certification, or the willingness to obtain certification, are necessary for this position. Compensation for the Lifestyle Director role ranges from $90,343.40 to $110,000 annually, reflecting the importance and scope of the responsibilities involved. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in leisure studies, gerontology, wellness, or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum seven years of program development and management experience
- Prior supervisory responsibility preferred
- Valid and current driver’s license
- Current CPR certification or ability to become certified
- Excellent oral, written, and platform presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in planning and implementing large and small-scale events
