Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Indiana EMT-P Paramedic license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire
  • Obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within probation period
  • Obtain Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC) certification within probation period
  • Obtain NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications within probation period
  • Ability to make independent clinical and operational decisions in a challenging environment
  • Minimum of 1 year ALS Paramedic experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Provide care, transport, and treatment of ill/injured patients in emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Relay and receive information regarding patient condition
  • Comply with regulatory requirements, departmental and hospital policies
  • Operate within scope of Paramedic as defined by state law
  • Drive ambulance to and from referral hospitals
  • Obtain consents and authorizations from patients or guardians
  • Record ambulance run times and process billing and daily reports
