Job Description
Life Time is a premier health and wellness company dedicated to providing exceptional fitness experiences and services to its members across the country. As a leading operator of health clubs, Life Time combines state-of-the-art facilities with a commitment to community and well-being, offering everything from fitness classes and personal training to child care and spa services. The company's mission centers around improving the health and quality of life for all members, making it a sought-after employer in the wellness industry. Life Time emphasizes inclusivity, diversity, and equity, fostering a workplace culture where every employee's contributions are respected and celebrated. The company is an equal opportunity employer that hires and promotes based on merit and qualifications, ensuring fair treatment and career growth opportunities for all team members.
The LifeShop Receptionist is a pivotal role within Life Time’s retail operations, directly supporting the smooth functioning of the LifeShop—a retail environment dedicated to offering members a curated selection of fitness and wellness products. This full-time position involves a combination of front-desk responsibilities such as greeting customers professionally, handling phone inquiries, and processing transactions efficiently. Receptionists are also responsible for merchandising products to maintain an attractive and organized store display and ensuring the shop environment is clean and inviting. Exceptional customer service is a key component, as Receptionists provide detailed product information, make thoughtful recommendations, and promote the various Life Time programs and services available.
This position requires a friendly, professional individual skilled in communication and multitasking, capable of creating a positive atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and sustained customer loyalty. The LifeShop Receptionist helps reinforce the overall member experience by being a knowledgeable resource and supportive presence throughout the shopping process. Responsibilities also include handling cash and credit card payments, managing returns smoothly, and maintaining inventory levels. The ability to sit, stand, reach, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds is necessary due to the physical nature of stocking and store upkeep tasks.
Life Time offers a supportive work environment that values employee development and wellness, inviting applicants who are working toward a High School diploma or GED and have at least 1-2 years of customer service experience. While CPR and AED certification is required within the first 30 days of employment, Life Time provides the necessary training to ensure the safety and readiness of all staff members. The role also benefits individuals with basic computer skills and a proactive attitude.
Joining Life Time means becoming part of a company committed to health, inclusiveness, and excellence. The LifeShop Receptionist role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about wellness and customer service to grow within a dynamic, people-focused organization. The position offers a chance to engage with a diverse member base, expand skills in retail and front desk operations, and contribute to a thriving community dedicated to healthy living.
