Job Description
Jones-Harrison Senior Living is a well-established senior living community located in Minneapolis, celebrated for 135 years of dedicated service. Conveniently situated near metro bus stops off Cedar Lake Avenue and Drew Avenue South, as well as Cedar Lake Avenue and France Avenue South, this community offers a wide range of senior care services. These include Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Long-Term Care, all set amidst the beautiful and serene backdrop of Cedar Lake and meticulously maintained grounds. The community prides itself on its dedicated employees who are committed to helping seniors heal, discover, and educate, with the ultimate goal of promoting longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives for its residents.
Jones-Harrison Senior Living is now seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Enrichment Director. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life of our senior residents by designing, implementing, and evaluating a variety of engaging programs and activities. These activities are designed to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being of each resident. The Life Enrichment Director ensures that these programs are not only engaging but also tailored to align with each resident’s personalized care plan, while strictly adhering to compliance standards set by state and federal regulations as well as the organization’s policies.
In this role, the director will oversee all resident programs and coordinate community outings that enrich the residents’ lives. A special emphasis is placed on creating culturally inclusive activities that respect and celebrate diversity within the community. Safety and individualized engagement are top priorities. The director will lead a team consisting of life enrichment assistants and will collaborate with other departments as needed to provide comprehensive support to residents.
The position offers a full-time schedule amounting to 80 hours every two weeks, with rotating weekends and holidays to ensure continuous engagement and support for residents. The Life Enrichment Director also holds responsibility for hiring, training, and supervising staff within the life enrichment team, managing volunteers, and maintaining effective communication with families and other stakeholders.
Compensation for this role ranges from $59,716.80 to $84,323.20 annually, depending on experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Ebenezer, the parent organization, provides a generous benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision plans; life insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; paid time off and sick and safe time; tuition reimbursement; retirement plans; and early access to earned wages, among other benefits. The company values pay equity and upholds an inclusive hiring process that considers all qualified applicants without regard to any lawfully protected status.
This senior living community values a commitment to compassionate care and continuous improvement in enriching the lives of seniors. The Life Enrichment Director will play a key role in this mission by fostering an environment where residents can thrive socially, emotionally, and physically through innovative and meaningful activities. This is a rewarding opportunity for a professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of older adults while displaying strong leadership and organizational skills.
