Clarendale of Mokena is currently seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to join their team. This full-time position involves working every other weekend and offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.00. The role is essential in planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities that cater to the physical, mental, and social well-being of the residents. The Life Enrichment Coordinator will be responsible for developing engaging programs that meet the diverse needs of a varied senior population, including those with physical limitations and those in different stages of memory care. This position plays a crucial role in promoting a healthy community culture, enhancing the overall quality of life for residents through well-planned events and daily activities.

The Life Enrichment Coordinator will assist the Director of Life Enrichment in managing all resident activities and special events, following structured programs such as Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program. Additionally, the coordinator will provide educational opportunities for residents and staff related to disease prevention and wellness, contribute to the preparation and distribution of monthly activity calendars, and may be responsible for transporting residents to various appointments and outings.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Six months experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment programs on a monthly basis
  • Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees
  • Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management
  • Lead daily resident activities per community standards
  • Assist with preparing and distributing monthly activity calendars
  • Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet needs of diverse resident population including those with physical assistance needs and memory loss
  • May be responsible for transporting residents to appointments and recreational outings
