The Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator plays a vital role at Eventide Fargo Care Center by planning and implementing engaging activity programs designed to stimulate residents physically, mentally, and socially. This full-time position operates primarily Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and includes a rotational schedule covering every fourth weekend and holiday shifts, ensuring continuous engagement for the residents. The role is pivotal in promoting the overall wellness of residents by tailoring activities to accommodate varying physical and mental abilities. Responsibilities include developing meaningful relationships with residents and their families to understand their unique needs and interests, maintaining comprehensive records related to residents’ participation and progress, and collaborating with the resident care team during care planning conferences to align activity goals with individualized care plans. The coordinator also provides leadership during activities, makes recommendations for program improvements to the Director of Life Enrichment, and responds promptly to resident requests to maintain a safe and supportive living environment.

Compensation for the Life Enrichment Activities Coordinator position is competitive, with a starting wage range of $18 to $19.62 per hour commensurate with qualifications, experience, and location. The role offers a stable work schedule with shift premiums and differentials applicable for select shifts and employment statuses. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to work full time including every fourth weekend and holidays
  • maintain accurate resident records
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • experience working with elderly or disabled populations preferred
  • ability to follow state and federal regulations
  • reliable and punctual
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • post secondary education preferred
  • experience in long term care preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate resident activity programs
  • develop rapport with residents and families
  • maintain records on assigned residents including attendance and assessments
  • attend care conferences to determine care plan needs
  • electronically document Minimum Data Set and care plans
  • provide leadership for activities and events
  • make recommendations for program improvements
