The LifeCafe Supervisor role is key in upholding these standards and maintaining a positive, efficient, and welcoming environment for all customers and staff.

The LifeCafe Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily shift operations within the LifeCafe, ensuring that every member receives high-quality service and enjoys a superior dining environment. This supervisory role involves scheduling staff in response to varying traffic flows, delivering excellent customer service, and motivating the team to perform at their best. The supervisor acts as the shift leader by offering hands-on support to staff and direct assistance to members, building strong customer relationships and resolving inquiries promptly and effectively. They oversee food preparation and service standards to maintain consistent quality and speed, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience within the LifeCafe. Additionally, the supervisor manages light food prep duties and makes recommendations for employee promotions or disciplinary actions to the manager, contributing to a cohesive and well-managed team. This position requires strong leadership skills, adaptability, and a commitment to upholding Life Time’s mission to foster a welcoming and health-conscious environment.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • ServeSafe certification with the first 60 days of hire
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
  • Night and weekend availability is required based on the business needs

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • ServeSafe certification within the first 60 days of hire
  • 1-2 years of supervisor or manager experience with a food service or retail background in a high volume atmosphere

Job Duties

  • Manages LifeCafe shift operations while making schedule adjustments based on traffic flow
  • Acts as daily shift leader by providing a high level of customer and team support
  • Ensures team members prepare menu items correctly and service customers in a professional manner
  • Provides promotion and disciplinary recommendations to the Manager
  • Manages light food prep responsibilities
  • Quickly and efficiently responds to member questions, comments, and concerns
