About the role: The Food Runner position at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club is essential to ensuring a seamless and professional dining experience. The Food Runner supports the Food Server by promptly delivering food items from the kitchen to guests, verifying the accuracy and quality of orders, and maintaining the highest service standards. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, keen anticipation of guest needs, and a discreet, efficient manner when setting up and clearing tables and dining areas. The Food Runner also assists in stocking service items such as linens, china, glassware, and silverware, as well as preparing smaller food and beverage items when necessary. This full-time role involves working mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, offering a dynamic and engaging environment for individuals passionate about hospitality and luxury service. Job Requirements
- Valid work authorization for the U.S.
- Ability to work mornings days evenings weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to carry trays and stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced luxury hotel environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work discreetly and efficiently
- Ability to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Promptly clear clean and set-up tables chairs linens china glass and silverware for service in a discreet manner
- Anticipate guest needs ascertain satisfaction and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
- Pick up food items from kitchen check order for accuracy and quality before delivering and serve guest
- Assist in stocking linens china glass silver and food items for service
- Assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast soup or beverages
- Breakdown clean and set-up side stations and back of house areas
