Job Qualifications

- One year of experience in a medical office setting with high volume patient contact preferred
- Experience in occupational or public health setting preferred
- Proficiency with electronic health records preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse customers
- Skill in developing and maintaining professional relationships
- Ability to prioritize work demands
- Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and protocols
- Basic applied math skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work
Job Duties
- Receive phone calls and emails and respond or direct requests to the appropriate individual or department
- Review new and existing workforce member information to identify risk categories based on job responsibilities and policies
- Administer immunizations
- Place and read tuberculin skin tests
- Perform N-95 respirator fit testing
- Conduct color vision screening when required
- Collect laboratory specimens for immunity status and exposure follow-up
- Monitor refrigerator temperatures and perform quality control
- Provide care, treatment, and counseling to employees while ensuring privacy and confidentiality
- Conduct patient interviews for workplace injuries and exposures
- Participate in developing and evaluating employee care plans
- Provide basic first aid as appropriate
- Collect and record patient physical and psychological condition
- Enter accurate documentation into occupational health record systems
- Complete or coordinate reports required by OSHA, Workers Compensation, Infection Control, and Environment of Care
- Participate in planning and implementing seasonal programs like flu vaccinations and health fairs
- Design and implement training programs to ensure employee safety
- Monitor safety event trends and collaborate on risk identification
- Provide education and training to occupational health staff
- Stay current with occupational health trends through journals and continuing education
- Maintain licensure and certification
- Perform other duties as assigned
