Job Requirements

Current active LPN license in state of practice
Experience in gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
Basic reading and writing skills
Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
Full use of hands, arms, and legs for tasks including medication administration
Ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment

Job Qualifications

Current active LPN license in state of practice
Experience in gerontological nursing preferred
Knowledge of dementia care
Basic reading and writing skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Commitment to professional nursing standards
Ability to work well within a team environment

Job Duties

Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents
Maintain accurate and detailed work records
Ensure residents' needs are met according to physician orders, facility policies, and federal, state, and local guidelines
Collaborate with the Health and Wellness team to provide comprehensive resident care
Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, residents, and families
Adhere to professional standards of nursing practice
