Job Requirements

  • Current active LPN license in state of practice
  • Experience in gerontological nursing including dementia population preferred
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs for tasks including medication administration
  • Ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Current active LPN license in state of practice
  • Experience in gerontological nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of dementia care
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Commitment to professional nursing standards
  • Ability to work well within a team environment

Job Duties

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents
  • Maintain accurate and detailed work records
  • Ensure residents' needs are met according to physician orders, facility policies, and federal, state, and local guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Health and Wellness team to provide comprehensive resident care
  • Monitor residents and report changes in condition promptly
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, residents, and families
  • Adhere to professional standards of nursing practice
