Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in dietary service or food prep especially in senior living or long-term care
- ability to follow directions and maintain cleanliness standards
- physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and tolerate temperature changes
- manual dexterity and motor coordination for routine food service tasks
- patience, reliability, and a desire to serve others through food
- ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Job Duties
- Assist in food prep including salads, desserts, and sandwiches per menus and production sheets
- help serve trays and deliver meals to residents, visitors, and staff
- operate a cash register, restock the line, and support cafeteria operations
- use proper portion control and follow dietary requirements with accuracy
- clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- sweep and mop floors, wash pots/pans, and operate the dishwasher
- store, date, and label food items correctly
- maintain safe food handling and infection control standards at all times
- communicate with warmth and respect toward residents, staff, and families
- work collaboratively with cooks and dietary teammates
- follow safety protocols and assist with departmental goals and duties
- contribute to a friendly, professional kitchen environment
