Job Requirements

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB)
  • minimum 5 years experience in customs brokerage or import entry processing
  • prior team lead, supervisor, or managerial experience preferred
  • knowledge of HTS, ACE, FDA, EPA, USDA, and CBP protocols
  • proficiency in CargoWise, Descartes, or similar platforms
  • strong communication and documentation skills
  • experience with multiple commodities and trade lanes preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for import shipments (air/ocean)
  • oversee entry filings, including 7501, 3461, ISF, and PGA documentation
  • lead a team of entry writers and clerks, providing compliance training and performance coaching
  • classify goods accurately using HTS codes and ensure regulatory alignment with CBP and OGA requirements (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.)
  • coordinate with internal ops, account managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely release and delivery
  • monitor customs regulations and proactively implement changes to ensure compliance
  • respond to audits, CBP holds, and post-summary corrections
