Job Requirements
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License
- At least five years of experience in customs brokerage or import entry processing
- Experience managing or supervising a team preferred
- Solid knowledge of HTS classification and U.S. customs regulations
- Familiarity with ACE system and PGA documentation requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and train staff
- Proficiency with CargoWise, Descartes, or equivalent software
Job Qualifications
- Active U.S. Customs Broker License (LCB)
- Minimum 5 years in customs brokerage or import entry processing
- Prior team lead, supervisor, or managerial experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HTS, ACE, FDA, EPA, USDA, and CBP protocols
- Proficiency in CargoWise, Descartes, or similar platforms
- Strong communication and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Experience across multiple commodities and trade lanes a plus
Job Duties
- Manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for import shipments (air/ocean)
- Oversee entry filings, including 7501, 3461, ISF, and PGA documentation
- Lead a team of entry writers and clerks, providing compliance training and performance coaching
- Classify goods accurately using HTS codes and ensure regulatory alignment with CBP and OGA requirements (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.)
- Coordinate with internal ops, account managers, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure timely release and delivery
- Monitor customs regulations and proactively implement changes to ensure compliance
- Respond to audits, CBP holds, and post-summary corrections
