Job Requirements
- Valid U.S. Customs Broker License
- Minimum 4 years of customs brokerage experience
- Experience in freight forwarding industry preferred
- Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with ABI systems and customs software
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Valid U.S. Customs Broker License
- 4 years of experience in customs brokerage procedures
- Prior experience working at a freight forwarder is highly preferred
- Possess a solid understanding of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions
- Proficiency in ABI systems and customs filing software
- Team player with good communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintain active U.S. Customs Broker License
- Monitor regulatory updates and ensure full compliance with customs and government agency requirements
- Oversee customs procedures including HTS classification and cargo valuation
- Ensure accuracy of trade documents such as classification, origin, valuation, and trade program use
- Conduct internal audits, manage corrective actions, and retain records for customs reviews
- Identify compliance risks and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with import, sales, operations, and compliance teams to ensure timelines and regulations are met
- Provide clients with advice on documentation, declarations, and cost-saving compliance strategies
- Lead training sessions for staff on customs rules and classification methods
- Handle audits and inquiries, and maintain communication with customs and related authorities
- Perform additional tasks related to logistics operations as needed
