The Bartender position at Liberty Park is a part-time, hourly role offering $11.00 per hour plus tips. This role is crucial for ensuring that guests receive excellent beverage service during various events hosted at the facility. Reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, the Bartender is responsible for setting up and tearing down the bar, preparing, and serving both alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health codes. Working in a lively and fast-paced event setting, the Bartender must be knowledgeable about beer, wine, spirits, and standard drink recipes while adhering to all Pennsylvania state laws regarding alcohol service.
Ideal candidates will have bartending experience, be at least 21 years old, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Key skills include operating point-of-sale systems, managing cash and transactions, and delivering top-notch customer service. Physical requirements involve standing for long periods, lifting over 50 pounds, and working in a noisy environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Previous bartending experience
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and standard recipes
- Ability to operate POS systems
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift over 50 pounds
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to complete Alcohol Awareness Program certification
- Ability to work in fast-paced and noisy environments
- Ability to interact well with large crowds
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Responsible for set up/tear down and stocking products of the bar while on duty
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area in accordance with health department requirements
- Operate a point-of-sale system as needed
- Check identification of guests who meet Pennsylvania legal age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Maintain professional appearance with Erie Events dress code and be in uniform for all events
- Maintain a high level of customer service to each guest
- Perform other related tasks as directed by supervisor
- Perform all duties in accordance with Pennsylvania state laws and Erie County Convention Center Authority policies and procedures
