The Leasing Agent position plays a pivotal role within these communities by supporting leasing, marketing, customer service, and administrative tasks essential for effective property management. This role is primarily responsible for managing leasing leads, conducting property tours, processing applications and renewals, and maintaining the visual appeal of the property to attract and retain residents. Working closely with the Community Manager and Assistant Manager, the Leasing Agent helps achieve occupancy goals and enhances resident satisfaction. This position offers a competitive pay range of $22.50 to $24.00 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience, and requires a proactive, customer-focused individual capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. The Leasing Agent is not only a representative of the property's brand but also a key player in delivering a positive living experience, encompassing everything from administrative accuracy to fostering strong community relationships. Job Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Fair Housing and landlord-tenant laws or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work some weekends or flexible hours as needed
  • Reliable transportation for outside marketing or competition visits
  • Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with representing the property and ownership

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in leasing, customer service, hospitality, or sales preferred
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Entrata) is a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable with marketing, online advertising, and follow-up outreach
  • Ability to conduct property tours and maintain professional presentation

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and organized leasing office
  • Conduct daily inspections of tour paths, model/vacant units, and common areas
  • Report scheduled or priority work orders to the supervisor
  • Lease all vacancies and complete renewals as assigned
  • Maintain and follow up on all leasing leads
  • Monitor advertising and marketing programs and report discrepancies
  • Post 3 daily Craigslist ads for leasing and pre-leasing
  • Visit competitors and complete Market Survey reports
  • Recommend improvements to marketing/leasing programs
  • Conduct outside marketing when directed
  • Submit timesheets on time per payroll schedule
  • Notify the Community Manager of accounting data inaccuracies
  • Enter all move-ins and move-outs into Entrata when delegated
  • Complete daily filing and manage phone calls/voicemails
  • Apply Fair Housing principles and understand state landlord-tenant laws
  • Assist the Community Manager and Assistant Manager as needed
  • Review and implement updates from the Property Communication Notebook
  • Submit content for the community newsletter for approval
  • Attend required training programs
  • Maintain professional, courteous conduct with residents, coworkers, and the public
  • Demonstrate ACTS: Attitude, Consistency, Teamwork, Service
  • Submit vacation requests 30 days in advance and obtain prior approval for overtime
  • Treat residents with respect and respond promptly to concerns
  • Build positive relationships and assist with resident events
  • Go the extra mile to promote resident happiness and retention
