The Leader-in-Training (LIT) program at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits is designed to cultivate the next generation of store leaders. This hands-on, developmental role provides team members with comprehensive training and real-world experience necessary to lead store operations effectively. Working closely with current Team Leaders and the District Manager, LITs gain insight into critical management functions like inventory control, visual merchandising, cash control, staff scheduling, and performance management. The program targets completion within six months, preparing candidates to step into Assistant Store Leader or Store Leader positions upon successful completion and leadership approval.

Participants in this program undertake rigorous training schedules that include competency checklists, attendance of training sessions and meetings, and travel to other stores as directed. The role develops essential supervisory skills such as delegation, training, discipline, and decision-making, alongside operational responsibilities like opening and closing stores and managing shipments.
