Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly growing wedding planning company that specializes in creating unforgettable experiences for couples across the United States. With a passion for excellence and attention to detail, Leigh & Co. Events has established itself as a trusted name in the wedding planning industry, recognized for its commitment to personalized service and innovative event design. The company prides itself on building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and venues, ensuring every wedding is executed flawlessly from start to finish. As the organization continues its expansion leading into the 2026 wedding season and beyond, it offers driven professionals an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to making dream weddings come true.
We are currently seeking a Lead Wedding Planner on a contract basis, perfect for individuals seeking flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact within the wedding industry. This role allows you to choose your own schedule, providing the ideal balance for professionals who value autonomy while working on meaningful projects. As a Lead Wedding Planner, you will work directly with couples to bring their wedding visions to life, managing the crucial final stages of wedding preparation and executing the day-of activities with precision and care. Training is provided to ensure that you are well-equipped to represent Leigh & Co. Events professionally and confidently.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing client communications approximately six weeks before the wedding, coordinating logistics, timelines, and expectations to ensure a smooth process. You will lead the ceremony rehearsal to familiarize all participants with the flow and cues, then serve as the on-site primary advocate for the couple on the wedding day. Your responsibilities will include overseeing ceremony and reception setup, vendor management, and event execution according to the client’s design and company playbook. You will be the central point of contact for all vendors and will ensure seamless collaboration among all parties involved.
Furthermore, the Lead Wedding Planner will assist in placing personal event details, supporting the wedding party and families, managing end-of-event logistics such as packing gifts and décor items, and proactively addressing any last-minute changes to guarantee an enjoyable guest experience. This role demands excellent communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm and solution-oriented under pressure.
Compensation for this contract position ranges from $275 to $300 per project, with the expectation that each wedding requires approximately 10 to 12 hours of your expertise. The work primarily requires weekend availability, reflecting the nature of the wedding industry, and reliable transportation is necessary to fulfill on-site commitments. This position offers passionate wedding professionals the chance to expand their portfolio, work with diverse clients, and be part of a supportive company culture that values creativity and professionalism.
