The company is currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join their team as Lead Wedding Coordinators on a contract basis. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage your own schedule while working on exciting wedding projects. Lead Wedding Coordinators at Leigh & Co. Events play a crucial role in delivering exceptional onsite wedding coordination services. They collaborate closely with client experience managers and assistant coordinators to oversee wedding day logistics, ensuring everything runs smoothly from setup to breakdown. The role is perfect for individuals with a passion for event planning who want to make a significant impact on one of the most important days in a couple's life.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed final consultations approximately six weeks before the wedding, leading ceremony rehearsals, and serving as the primary onsite representative for the couple. This involves overseeing the setup of ceremonies and receptions in line with the event’s design and logistical plans, managing vendor arrivals and departures, and addressing any unexpected challenges calmly and efficiently. You'll also provide hands-on assistance to the wedding party and family members, ensuring everyone is informed, guided, and supported throughout the day.

Compensation for this contract role is $350 per project, which typically involves 10 to 12 hours of work. Job Duties
- Conducting a comprehensive final details call with clients around 6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timelines, and expectations
- Leading the ceremony rehearsal on the day before the wedding, ensuring all participants are prepared and briefed
- Serving as the primary advocate for the couple onsite, maintaining a calm and focused approach while addressing any challenges
- Overseeing the setup of the ceremony and reception according to the event design and day-of execution plan
- Managing the entire wedding day from vendor arrivals to final breakdown at the end of the evening
- Greeting, directing, and acting as the main point of contact for all vendors
- Communicating setup instructions clearly to vendors for precise execution of the event plan
- Coordinating and assisting with the placement of personal and event details including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor elements
- Providing support to the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and any day-of assistance
- Ensuring all end-of-event items such as gifts, guest book, and personal décor are packed and accounted for properly
- Proactively managing and resolving any issues or last-minute changes to ensure a seamless guest experience
