As a Lead Wedding Coordinator at Leigh & Co. Events, you will be an integral part of our team, serving as the primary onsite advocate for our clients during their special day. This contract position offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments effectively. Compensation for this role ranges from $275 to $325 per project, based on a total commitment of 10 to 12 hours of specialized service. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you have the knowledge and resources necessary to excel in this dynamic role.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. You will collaborate closely with client experience managers and assistant coordinators to ensure every aspect of the wedding day runs smoothly. Responsibilities include conducting a final details call with clients approximately six weeks prior to the event, facilitating the ceremony rehearsal, managing vendor coordination, overseeing event setup and breakdown, and addressing any challenges with a calm and solutions-focused approach. Your role is pivotal in creating an unforgettable experience for the couples and their guests.

Job Duties

  • conduct a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations
  • lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident in timings and processes
  • act as the primary advocate for the couple onsite, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused demeanor while addressing any challenges
  • oversee the setup of the ceremony and reception in accordance with the event design and day-of execution playbook
  • manage the day-of execution from initial vendor arrivals to final breakdown after the event
  • welcome, direct, and serve as the main contact point for all vendors
  • clearly communicate setup instructions to vendors to ensure alignment with the event plan
  • coordinate the placement of personal and event details, including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and decor elements
  • support the wedding party and family members with guidance and timing cues for day-of requirements
  • ensure all end-of-event items are properly packed and accounted for
  • proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to guarantee a smooth guest experience
