The role of Lead Wedding Planner at Leigh & Co. Events is a contract position designed for enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals who aspire to lead successful wedding events and create unforgettable memories. This role offers a flexible schedule with the freedom to manage your own time, ideal for those who are passionate about weddings and customer service. Compensation for this position is project-based, with a rate of $300 for approximately 10 to 12 hours of work per event. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure every planner is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver excellent service. The Lead Wedding Planner will work primarily on-site, serving as a key liaison between the couple and vendors, coordinating all aspects of the wedding day from rehearsal through to the final breakdown. This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, solutions-focused demeanor in fast-paced environments. Job Duties

  • Conduct a final details call with clients around 6 weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations
  • lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding to ensure all participants are comfortable with timing, processional flow, and key cues
  • act as the primary advocate for the couple on their special day, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused demeanor while supporting them through any challenges that arise
  • oversee the setup of the ceremony and reception in alignment with our event design and day-of execution playbook
  • manage the full wedding day execution, from the arrival of vendors to the final breakdown at the end of the evening
  • welcome, direct, and serve as the main point of contact for all vendors involved
  • communicate setup instructions clearly to ensure all vendors align with the event plan
  • coordinate and assist with the placement of personal and event details, including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor elements
  • provide guidance and support to the wedding party and family members with timing cues and any day-of needs
  • ensure all end-of-event items (gifts, guest book, personal décor, etc.) are properly packed and accounted for
  • proactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to ensure a smooth guest experience
