The Lead Valet position at ABM is a pivotal role focused on overseeing all valet operations while ensuring efficiency, safety, and an exceptional guest experience. The Lead Valet is responsible for managing a team of attendants, coordinating vehicle parking and retrieval, communicating clearly with guests, and maintaining smooth traffic flow around the facility. This position demands excellent interpersonal skills to interact warmly with guests and address their inquiries effectively. Other key responsibilities include monitoring illegal parking and promptly managing vehicle storage, assisting guests with loading and unloading, handling valet payments with accuracy, and maintaining security for guest keys. Additionally, the Lead Valet anticipates traffic flow peaks and escalates support requirements during busy periods to minimize wait times. Safety is paramount; this role requires strict adherence to traffic laws, facility policies, and pedestrian regulations to ensure the safe operation and parking of all vehicles. The work environment is predominantly outdoors, requiring the ability to perform duties in various weather conditions and maintain cleanliness in the work area. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, and be capable of operating vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.   • prior experience in valet parking or related customer service role is an asset

Job Duties

  • Coordinate traffic flow
  • communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
  • understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
  • monitor illegal parking and immediately store vehicles
  • interact with guests in a friendly manner
  • assist guests with loading and unloading
  • collect and secure guest keys
  • predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
  • identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
  • accurately tally and split the tip pool
  • receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
  • accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
  • project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
  • operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
  • work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
  • keep work area clean of debris
