The role of Valet at ABM offers a vital frontline service that encompasses professional, courteous, and compassionate guest interactions designed to enhance the visitor experience. As a Valet, you will play a key role in managing traffic flow efficiently and safely while assisting guests with parking and retrieving their vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are parked and retrieved in compliance with all traffic laws, facility policies, and pedestrian regulations, safeguarding the security and condition of the vehicles entrusted to you. The role requires physical stamina to operate in outdoor climates for extended periods, helping guests with loading and unloading items, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Valets also handle cash and payment processing duties including receipt issuance, tip pool management, and daily revenue reconciliation. Job Duties
- Coordinate traffic flow
- Communicate valet procedure, information and directions clearly and effectively with guests
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries
- Monitor illegal parking, and immediately store vehicles
- Interact with guests in a friendly manner
- Assist guests with loading and unloading
- Collect and secure guest keys
- Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
- Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times
- Accurately tally and split the tip pool
- Receive and receipt a variety of valet payments
- Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue
- Project currency and coin requirements and re-order as necessary
- Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations
- Work in an outdoor unprotected environment in all climates for extended periods of time
- Keep work area clean of debris
