The Lead Server role at Juniper Preserve is vital to the smooth operation of daily dining services. This position requires an energetic and skilled individual to lead and support the front-of-house team, delivering impeccable food and beverage service with warmth and efficiency. As a seasoned communicator and natural leader, the Lead Server guides service staff, supports training initiatives, and enforces service standards to maintain the high-quality experience Juniper Preserve is known for. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking food and beverage orders accurately, managing POS transactions, ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations, and maintaining an inviting dining atmosphere. Additionally, this role plays a key part in assisting management with floor leadership, employee coaching, and operational problem-solving during service periods. The Lead Server must also coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth flow even during high-volume times, embodying the establishment's values of hospitality and professionalism. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must comply with health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Able to pass a drug test and pre-employment criminal background check
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Neat and well-groomed in company approved uniform
  • Proficient in operating POS systems and handling transactions
  • Able to safely operate and drive beverage carts
  • Capable of delivering plated food, clearing tables, and assisting with banquet setup
  • Ability to respond calmly to upset guests and notify management
  • Able to communicate effectively with hearing impaired guests
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for entire shifts
  • Must pass server validation
  • Basic knowledge of cooking principles
  • Ability to clearly verbalize menu items to guests
  • Must have good hearing in noisy environments
  • Able to memorize or write orders
  • Ability to balance at shift end
  • Skilled at carding guests for age verification

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and escort them to their seats
  • Present menus and beverage lists to guests
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Answer questions about menu items and beverages
  • Inform customers of daily specials
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately
  • Check guest identification for age verification
  • Enter orders into POS system efficiently
