Job Requirements
- Age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation
- Exposure to restaurant operations or ability to learn
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results
- Basic counting skills required for tracking meals and residents
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to operate serving equipment such as salad bar cart, trays, heating cart
- Mindful use of resources and supplies minimizing waste
- Ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public
- Must complete dining room training course with CCG
- Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in restaurant operations or food service preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to operate standard serving equipment
- Completion of dining room training course with CCG
- Ability to meet state-specific regulatory requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to contribute positively to a team environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with food service
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Take written food orders and serve meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
- Assist residents with meal and menu selections as necessary or requested
- Use proper etiquette and manners while waiting tables courteously and professionally
- Review residents dietary needs as outlined by Supervisor
- Track resident attendance at meals and provide information in a timely manner
- Greet and seat all residents promptly and make extra effort to integrate new residents
- Ensure a clean sanitary dining area and comply with all policies regarding food handling and serving
- Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, Team Members, and guests
- Aid in community marketing efforts through positive interactions and adherence to grooming standards
- Assist the dining room manager in training staff
- Conduct inventory and assist in the replenishment of front-of-house supplies
- Serve meals that are palatable and appealing in appearance
- Assist in food preparations for special meals and events
- Attend daily pre-meal meetings and taste food
- Serve, clean, reset tables, return dishes to kitchen, and fold napkins
- Perform other duties as assigned by dining room manager or Director of Dining Services
- Clean and set up all dining areas, ensure proper storage of food and supplies
- Cooperate and assist with other food service staff to ensure residents have a positive dining experience
- Report any safety or equipment issues to Dining Room Supervisor
