The role of Lead Server at Fountaingrove Lodge is crucial to enhancing the dining experience for residents, their families, and visitors. The Lead Server is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining professional and courteous interactions. Serving meals in a friendly and efficient manner, this position works within the dining area and kitchen to ensure guests receive excellent care aligned with the company’s mission and values. The Lead Server handles food and beverage orders accurately using point of sale (POS) technology and adheres to established serving techniques and etiquette, such as serving from the left and clearing dishes between courses.
Safety and teamwork are integral elements of the role. The Lead Server helps to maintain a secure environment for staff, residents, and guests by following safety protocols and encouraging cooperative interactions with other departments. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
- Willingness to comply with COVID-19 related safety protocols including vaccination, daily screening, surveillance testing, and PPE use
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with employees, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and families
Job Qualifications
- Experience is preferred but not necessary

Job Duties
- Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner
- Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer)
- Set up and break down (bus) tables
- Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
- Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
