We are currently seeking a Lead Receptionist to take a pivotal role in managing and guiding our team of receptionists across all clinic locations through a rotational schedule. This dynamic position serves as the primary point of contact for patients, acting as the welcoming voice and face of our clinics. The Lead Receptionist will oversee day-to-day front-desk functions including patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and maintaining secure and compliant patient records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Beyond operational duties, the Lead Receptionist is responsible for mentoring and developing team members to provide consistent, professional, and compassionate service to our patients.
The role demands a detail-oriented and organized individual with exceptional multitasking abilities and strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will handle billing inquiries, monitor front-desk performance metrics, and ensure that all staff adhere to the highest standards of safety, security, and confidentiality. This role also involves addressing escalated patient concerns with professionalism, maintaining an orderly reception area, and collaborating with clinical staff through effective communication. Additional responsibilities include supporting hiring processes for reception team members and contributing meaningfully to department meetings. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced phone and organizational skills
- Familiarity with modern office procedures basic math and computer data entry with a typing speed minimum of 45 WPM
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing departmental needs with the ability to work under pressure

Job Duties
- Oversee and coordinate front-desk operations including check-in and check-out procedures
- Monitor and maintain accurate patient records ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Assist with billing inquiries and payment collection as needed
- Perform administrative tasks such as word processing copying filing faxing answering phones and data entry
- Train mentor and support reception team members to deliver consistent and exceptional customer service
- Provide information to callers and direct them to appropriate departments ensuring phone coverage at all times
- Welcome and greet patients clients and visitors determine the purpose of their visit and direct them accordingly
