Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in commercial cleaning or related work
- Combination of relevant work experience, education and training may be substituted upon approval
- Must pass background investigation
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Knowledge of janitorial products and proper disposal of chemicals
- Knowledgeable of operation of floor cleaning machinery and power washers
- Ability to use small power tools
- Familiar with OSHA, MSDS, and ADOSH requirements and compliance
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to complete shift report
- Ability to understand vendor routines and practices
- Bilingual preferred

- Ability to understand vendor routines and practices to offer insight to leadership and vendors

Job Duties
- Complete all essential duties and responsibilities as assigned to porter
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment needed for daily shift are available and accessible
- Assign and coordinate the work of the team
- Observe team during the performance of duties, provide guidance, and check quality of work performed and ensure work is completed on time
- Always observe safety and security procedures, ensure team is complying with safety and security requirements, report potentially unsafe conditions or situations and ensure equipment and materials are used properly
- On night shift, responsible for unlocking/locking buildings and offices and collaborating with public safety and following proper security procedures
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, polishing and buffing floors, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
- Ensure proper disinfecting and sanitizing of rooms, laboratories, lavatories, and other areas
- Dust furniture, file cabinets, paneling, windowsills, other equipment, printers, faxes, telephones, picture frames/wall hangings including magazine racks, air conditioning registers, wall grills or other ventilating louvers such ceiling air conditioning diffusers, and other exterior surfaces such as light fixtures
- Keep exterior buildings clean by dusting exterior lights, cleaning glass doors, and occasionally power washing building exteriors
- Empty wastebaskets and clean exterior ashtrays
- empty recycling materials and transport collected trash and waste to appropriate disposal areas
- ensure trash cans used to collect and transport trash and recyclables are kept clean
- Other duties as assigned
