Job Requirements

  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Mobility to move around casino easily
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to reach, grasp, bend, squat, and push or pull equipment
  • Ability to work in a noisy, smoky environment
  • No specific licenses or certifications required
  • Willingness to attend training and meetings
  • Physical stamina and endurance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles desirable
  • Leadership or supervisory experience an asset
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing standards
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Assist with training and coaching porter team
  • Communicate positively and professionally with all employees
  • Ensure availability of resources for shifts including garbage bags, PPE, gloves, chemicals, supplies, and training
  • Follow department daily assignment sheet and supervise employee adherence
  • Ensure cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of public restrooms
  • Wipe down slot machines and chairs ensuring they are free from dust, ash, fingerprints, and spills
  • Assign and assist employees with maintaining outdoor casino areas including parking lot, trash, doors, and windows
  • Monitor and maintain porter equipment
  • Stock public restrooms with necessary supplies
  • Attend meetings and training as required
