We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven culinary experience in restaurant or fine dining setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and safety standards
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work in person at the designated location
  • Commitment to maintaining kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Proven culinary experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting with strong food preparation skills
  • Extensive kitchen experience including food handling cooking techniques and meal preparation
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities as a lead or senior cook within a busy kitchen environment
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
  • Experience with menu planning catering and serving in high-volume settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and management
  • Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for supporting special dietary requests
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise the line cooks during service ensuring timely and precise food preparation
  • Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with menu planning recipe development and portion control to optimize quality and consistency
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and efficient meal preparation
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs for ingredients and kitchen supplies
  • Uphold food industry best practices in cooking techniques knife skills and food presentation
  • Support dietary department and dietary aide staff by providing guidance on special dietary needs or meal modifications
  • Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s quality standards before serving guests
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
  • Train new team members on food safety protocols cooking methods and service procedures
