Job Requirements

  • Education in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a cook or lead cook in a restaurant or catering setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to supervise and train staff effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work 30 to 40 hours per week onsite

Job Qualifications

  • Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
  • Culinary degree is a plus
  • Extensive culinary experience with proficiency in knife skills, meal preparation, and food handling
  • Familiarity with fine dining standards and restaurant or catering environments
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Prior experience in kitchen operations or restaurant environments is highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise daily cooking operations, ensuring adherence to all food safety and handling protocols
  • Coordinate food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
  • Manage kitchen operations, including food handling, meal preparation, and catering services for special events or daily service
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques, knife skills, and food industry best practices
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety procedures across all food service activities
  • Collaborate with front of house to optimize service delivery and improve overall dining experiences
