The role of the Lead EVS Associate at Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus offers a vital leadership position within the Environmental Services (EVS) department. This role is designed for an individual who will provide operational oversight in the absence of the Supervisor, ensuring that all EVS department functions continue seamlessly. The Lead EVS Associate is expected to perform tasks typically handled by EVS Associate I and II positions, including cleaning and environmental maintenance duties, while also managing staffing coverage and making necessary scheduling adjustments. This position requires a strong adherence to protocols where consistent and repeatable results are critical to maintaining the healthcare facility's cleanliness and safety standards.
A key responsibility of the Lead EVS Associate is to train new and current department staff to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures. The role includes supervising personnel to guarantee that performance meets the organization's expectations and quality standards. Additionally, the Lead EVS Associate is involved in quality auditing and inspection, identifying areas for improvement in the retail experience and overall environmental services within the healthcare setting. The position operates during a 3 pm to 11:30 pm shift, including weekends and holidays, emphasizing the importance of leadership and reliability during these critical hours. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental services preferred
- Ability to perform supervisory duties
- Ability to train and lead staff effectively
- Available to work 3 pm to 11:30 pm shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Preferred high school diploma/GED
- 2 years customer service preferred
- 2 years environmental service preferred
- Department of Transportation training (DOTTRN)
- Floor care/carpet certification
Job Duties
- Act as a shift supervisor and oversee sales associates when a supervisor is absent
- Participate in people management activities such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews
- Perform inspections and quality auditing
- Look for ways to improve the retail experience
- Provide training for new recruits and ensure current employee knowledge is up to date
- Perform all duties of EVS Associates
- Ensure all areas have coverage and make necessary changes as needed
