This particular opportunity is for a full-time, non-management Housekeeping and Laundry position located at 2020 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta, Georgia. The role primarily involves supporting the hotel's housekeeping operations, with shifts preferred during day and evening hours, including availability on weekends and holidays. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and public areas, completing required paperwork, and responding promptly to guest requests. Duties will include accurately recording the status of cleaned rooms on assignment sheets, completing checklists, and reporting any maintenance or safety issues. Inspecting guest rooms after cleaning, adhering strictly to protocols before entering occupied rooms, and assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and motivating housekeeping staff are also key elements of the job. Working in housekeeping at JW Marriott also involves physical tasks such as moving and lifting objects up to 55 pounds, operating maintenance carts, navigating various environments including confined or elevated spaces, and consistently applying fine motor skills.
