As a Lead Food Service Worker, you will serve a critical supervisory function, assisting staff in the absence of the immediate supervisor. This leadership position involves ensuring a safe and organized work environment, overseeing employee breaks, and assigning critical duties during shifts to guarantee smooth and efficient operations. The role demands a high level of professionalism and the ability to act as a role model among team members, demonstrating strong organizational skills and courteous customer service. Being a valued leader, you will ensure the proper assembly and service of food, adherence to sanitation and safety standards in all utility areas within the food service department, and support teammates to maintain the quality and timeliness of food delivery.
Your work during each shift will be vital to ensuring that patients, staff, and visitors receive fresh, nutritious meals that contribute directly to positive health outcomes. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience in food service and supervisory roles who has strong communication skills and can read, write, and speak English at a minimum sixth-grade level. The position also requires following written and verbal instructions with competence in high school-level computation to manage daily food service operations effectively.
