Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of one year experience in food service
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in a food service role
- Prior institutional or restaurant food service experience preferred
- Ability to supervise inmate labor
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a high volume food production environment
Job Duties
- Independently prepare and instruct inmate labor in food preparation in accordance with production standards and recipes
- Handle production and sanitation paperwork to ensure compliance with facility procedures
- Ensure cleaning and maintenance of food service equipment and work areas
- Confirm safety and sanitation practices are followed
- Follow institutional requirements in preparation and serving of meals
- Adhere to assigned housekeeping and safety practices
- Store food and supplies as instructed
- Perform high volume food production for large groups
- Perform other duties as assigned
