Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum of one year experience in food service
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in a food service role
  • Prior institutional or restaurant food service experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise inmate labor
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a high volume food production environment

Job Duties

  • Independently prepare and instruct inmate labor in food preparation in accordance with production standards and recipes
  • Handle production and sanitation paperwork to ensure compliance with facility procedures
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance of food service equipment and work areas
  • Confirm safety and sanitation practices are followed
  • Follow institutional requirements in preparation and serving of meals
  • Adhere to assigned housekeeping and safety practices
  • Store food and supplies as instructed
  • Perform high volume food production for large groups
  • Perform other duties as assigned
