Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in global event planning or event management
- 3-5 years experience planning large and mid-sized events
- ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel and occasional weekends or extended hours
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with relevant experience
- 3-5 years experience planning large and mid-sized events
- certified meeting professional (CMP) or equivalent accreditation preferred
- significant experience leading complex, multi-day, global events for executive or customer audiences
- strong organizational and project management skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
- highly collaborative and team-oriented
- process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- familiarity with B2B or aerospace/industrial sectors is a plus
- computer proficiency including Cvent or similar event platforms, project management tools, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Job Duties
- Lead and execute Tier 2 and 3 global conferences, meetings, and events with a primary focus on external customers
- clarify event objectives with business stakeholders
- develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, and risk tracking
- design event agendas and experiences aligned with business goals
- manage end-to-end event logistics including venue selection, contracting, and on-site staffing
- oversee registration processes and communications
- provide on-site leadership and serve as primary contact for stakeholders
- monitor event execution and proactively address issues
- create and manage post-event evaluations and summaries
- apply standard work and checklists to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- develop and manage event budgets and vendor contracts
- track and report expenses and payment processes
- measure event performance and provide data-driven recommendations
- engage and align stakeholders to ensure consistent event objectives
- coordinate with fellow event managers for synergy and standards
- build and maintain a network of hospitality and technology partners
- identify and escalate issues and drive resolution
- deliver exceptional hospitality and guest experiences
- partner with Compliance and Legal for policy adherence
- ensure brand alignment across all event touchpoints
