Job Description

GE Aerospace is a premier aerospace company known globally for its innovative approach to aviation and defense technologies. With a rich legacy of pioneering advancements, GE Aerospace plays a critical role in shaping the future of aerospace by delivering cutting-edge engines, systems, and digital solutions. The company is dedicated to engineering excellence, sustainability, and enhancing the performance and reliability of aircraft worldwide. Their commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction has established GE Aerospace as a trusted partner in the industry, delivering value to commercial and defense customers around the globe.

The GE Aerospace Global Events team organizes and manages conferences, meetings, and tradeshows across the world, leveraging deep project management and event planning expertise to support the company's brand and strategic goals. This role centers on leading a portfolio of high-profile customer and executive events internationally. As an experienced event manager reporting directly to the Head of Events, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and seamless execution of events that bolster GE Aerospace's corporate brand, strengthen relationships with customers, and support crucial commercial and strategic objectives.

The scope of this role involves leading Tier 2 and Tier 3 global conferences, meetings, and events focusing primarily on external customers. You'll collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify event objectives, determine key messages, target audiences, and success metrics. Your responsibilities include creating detailed project plans with defined timelines, risk mitigation strategies, and contingency plans; designing immersive event agendas that align with business goals; managing logistics such as venue contracts, accommodations, transportation, and on-site staffing; and overseeing registration processes in partnership with internal teams.

On-site leadership is a key part of the role, serving as the main contact during events to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues proactively. Post-event activities include evaluations, feedback collection, and continuous improvement recommendations.

Financial management is another critical aspect, overseeing budgets, vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and ensuring accurate expense tracking and timely completions of financial processes. You'll measure event success through data-driven insights to inform future event strategies.

Collaboration and relationship management are essential, working closely with stakeholders across marketing, communications, and commercial teams to maintain consistent messaging and standards. Building and maintaining a network of hospitality, venue, production, and technology partners across regions is vital. The role requires a high degree of cultural awareness and the ability to navigate regional regulations and business norms effectively.

Adherence to compliance, brand integrity, and exceptional customer experience standards are paramount, partnering with Compliance and Legal departments to ensure all events meet regulatory guidelines and corporate policies. This position offers a base salary range of $98,000 to $131,000, influenced by experience and education, and includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The employment type is full-time with up to 50% travel, including international trips and occasional extended hours.

Overall, this position is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled event professional with a passion for delivering world-class experiences that drive business success and enhance GE Aerospace's global presence.
