Job Description
Acosta Group is a leading sales and marketing agency specializing in connecting brands with consumers through innovative retail strategies and experiential marketing. With a rich history of collaboration with top consumer goods companies, Acosta Group is dedicated to delivering outstanding field marketing solutions that drive sales and enhance brand presence within retail environments. The organization prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace culture that promotes career growth, skill development, and employee empowerment.
The Product Connections team at Acosta Group offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals passionate about retail marketing and customer engagement. As a Lead Event Specialist (Part-Time) within this team, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable in-store experiences that resonate with shoppers and directly influence purchasing decisions. This position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced retail settings and enjoy the art of brand advocacy through professional demonstrations.
This part-time role focuses on delivering high-energy food and non-food product demonstrations designed to captivate customers and encourage trial and sales conversion. Beyond your duties as an expert demonstrator, you will assume leadership responsibilities, especially in the absence of your supervisor. This dual role uniquely combines front-line customer interaction with operational oversight, including event setup, logistics management, and team support. The position requires physical stamina as you will be standing for long periods and handling equipment and supplies regularly.
Your responsibilities will extend to mentoring fellow event specialists, ensuring that customer engagement standards remain high and that product knowledge is effectively shared among team members. You'll also be tasked with maintaining organized storage, coordinating proper sanitation protocols, and documenting events with detailed reporting and photographic evidence. A key aspect of the role involves building and sustaining professional relationships with store personnel to facilitate seamless event execution and high levels of client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable navigating mobile apps and internal digital reporting systems, possesses strong communication skills, and can professionally represent both the Acosta Group and its client brands. A valid food safety certification or the ability to obtain a local food handlers permit is required to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, adherence to retailer dress codes and professional grooming standards is essential to maintain brand image.
Overall, the Lead Event Specialist role with Acosta Group's Product Connections team offers a unique blend of customer-facing marketing, leadership development, and hands-on field coordination. The position provides an excellent pathway for individuals looking to expand their career in retail marketing while gaining valuable exposure to some of the world's leading consumer brands in a supportive and collaborative work environment.
