Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
- at least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hospital setting
- ability to supervise and manage a team of employees
- knowledge of chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions
- familiarity with regulatory standards including Joint Commission requirements
- strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties
- Supervise a staff of 25 or more employees
- provide leadership, direction and equity in dealing with employees
- create effective and cohesive working relationships with department employees and hospital staff
- ensure regulatory compliance for sanitation for patients, guests, and employees
- maintain sanitation of public areas to project a strong and positive image
- generate pertinent policy and procedure to ensure compliance to infection control and sanitation standards
- coordinate rental linen and uniform efforts
