Job Requirements

Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
at least 1 year of housekeeping experience in a hospital setting
ability to supervise and manage a team of employees
knowledge of chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions
familiarity with regulatory standards including Joint Commission requirements
strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

A minimum of 1-year housekeeping experience in hospital setting
familiarity with Joint Commission requirements preferred
familiarity with chemical sanitizers and general housekeeping functions

Job Duties

Supervise a staff of 25 or more employees
provide leadership, direction and equity in dealing with employees
create effective and cohesive working relationships with department employees and hospital staff
ensure regulatory compliance for sanitation for patients, guests, and employees
maintain sanitation of public areas to project a strong and positive image
generate pertinent policy and procedure to ensure compliance to infection control and sanitation standards
coordinate rental linen and uniform efforts
