Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience supervising line cooks and running day-to-day kitchen operations
  • strong food safety knowledge
  • calm under pressure
  • ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Handler's Card required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and temperature control
  • ability to lead and motivate others in a high-volume production environment
  • excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Handler's Card required
  • ServeSafe Certification preferred
  • experience in senior living or healthcare food service a plus

Job Duties

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations and provide hands-on leadership to the cook team
  • ensure food is prepared, cooked, and served safely and according to recipe and presentation standards
  • assist with inventory management, prep tracking, and daily production schedules
  • train, support, and mentor line and prep cooks to maintain consistency and quality
  • uphold proper food hygiene, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
  • support event catering and special functions with professionalism and efficiency
  • act as the kitchen lead in the absence of the Executive Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
