Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of culinary experience, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Proven supervisory skills or experience leading kitchen teams
  • Food safety knowledge certified by ServSafe or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual kitchen tasks
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of culinary experience in a hotel
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred
  • Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of menu items for hotel guests and events
  • Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation across all meals
  • Assist in menu planning, special offerings, and recipe development
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in proper food handling, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
  • Monitor inventory, place orders, and control food costs
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Coordinate with management and front-of-house teams to meet guest expectations
