Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques
  • Local Health Department sanitation certificate
  • 3+ years prior experience as a Line Cook or Lead
  • Mobility and dexterity to move objects up to 100 pounds
  • Manual dexterity using kitchen utensils and handling food
  • Ability to respond calmly in fast-paced environment
  • Organized and able to multitask
  • Ability to maneuver throughout the casino
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, grip while working
  • Ability to work at fast pace and stressful situations
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with all phases of food preparation techniques
  • Local Health Department sanitation certificate
  • Minimum 3 years experience as Line Cook or Lead
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in food service

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the Food Hall
  • Assist in administration of training programs and guide personnel in duties
  • Coordinate maintenance and development of food preparation methods
  • Assist in maintaining food service procedures for maximum customer satisfaction
  • Ensure facilities are adequate for assigned personnel duties
  • Instruct and ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
  • Monitor food appearance and report deviations to Kitchen Manager
  • Demonstrate skills in grading, broiling, sautéing, saucier stations, and large quantity cooking
  • Act as role model and maintain attendance and adherence to policies
