The Culinary Lead Cook position at Hyatt is a critical role that demands comprehensive skills and knowledge across all kitchen operations. The Culinary Lead Cook oversees daily food production, ensuring that quality, consistency, and staffing levels are constantly monitored and optimized. Additionally, individuals in this role must demonstrate experience in guest service and culinary instruction.

A key responsibility of the Culinary Lead Cook is to provide leadership and direction within the kitchen, particularly when the hourly supervisor or Chef de Cuisine is unavailable. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in fine dining or related settings
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations during supervisor absence
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Good communication skills
  • At least 2 years of previous line and fine dining experience
  • Culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • Able to work all stations of the kitchen

Job Duties

  • Monitor food production quality and consistency
  • Manage staffing levels in the kitchen
  • Produce consistent food products meeting guest expectations
  • Provide culinary instruction and guidance
