Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen
- ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- valid food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain
- strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a line cook or similar role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow recipes and portion controls
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary training or certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
- stock and maintain sufficient food levels at line stations
- portion food products according to recipes
- maintain a clean and sanitary work station area
- assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
- close kitchen properly following closing checklist
- attend team meetings and trainings
- perform other duties such as dishwashing and bussing as assigned
