Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree in culinary field or appropriate
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years experience in high-volume fine dining food service
- 1+ year experience or exposure to menu research and development
- Reliable, quality-conscious, safe worker
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hot kitchen
- Knowledge of culinary terms, procedures, and practices
- Knowledge of HACCP
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to handle heavy workload
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to accurately monitor wastage
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in culinary field or appropriate
- Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years' experience in a high-volume fine dining food service
- 2+ years' experience in a high-volume food service with at least 1-year experience/exposure to menu research and development
- Culinary knowledge of terms, procedures, and practices
- HACCP knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to deal with a heavy workload
- Self-organized and capable to work independently as well as in a team
- Ability to accurately monitor wastage
- Flexibility to perform assigned tasks independently or as part of a team
- Flexibility to work different shifts including night, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and prepare a menu that meets the unique requirements of airline customers and in-flight dining
- Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Prepare exquisite, gourmet meals with precision and elegance, paying meticulous attention to detail in presentation and flavor
- Implement and maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and taste, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to support efficient kitchen operations
- Train and mentor cooks, providing guidance and support to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment
