High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in food service and cooking required
Prior healthcare experience preferred but not required
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Job Duties

Provide assistance to the Nutrition Services Manager in kitchen oversight
Prepare, season, and cook food for patients, staff, and visitors
Enforce healthcare kitchen sanitation standards and practice proper hand hygiene
Participate in onboarding and training of new dietary staff
Manage menu substitutions and develop dietary team decision-making
Oversee inventory control, place orders, and maintain organized storage areas
Plan catering events and ensure completion
Handle cash register reconciliation
Perform cooking and dietary aide duties as needed
Assist in menu development and recipe standardization
