Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food handling or preparation experience
- ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 25 pounds
- valid Food Handler's Permit or ability to obtain one
- flexible availability for various shifts
- basic communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous food handling or prep/line experience
- prior cook experience may be required at some locations
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- ability to read, write, type and use basic technology
- ability to stand and move around for entire shifts
- ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit
- flexible schedule with willingness to work morning, evening and weekend shifts
Job Duties
- Plan and prepare various food items and meals for the restaurant and catered functions
- oversee food cost and portion control without sacrificing quality
- creatively accommodate special requests from guests
- ensure food deliveries are timely, accurate and meet presentation standards
- assist with quality, cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and kitchen
- assist with inventory, ordering and receiving of all food and beverage items
- maintain and enforce sanitation and safety standards with anyone entering the kitchen area
- support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments
