The position available is for a Cook at The Ritz-Carlton, a key role responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with the brand’s exacting standards. The Cook is entrusted with the preparation of special meals, regulating cooking temperatures across various kitchen equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters, and ensuring food is thawed properly. This position requires a strong attention to detail in portioning, garnishing, and maintaining food quality and presentation standards. The Cook is also expected to keep accurate food logs, communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff, and assist management in various team-oriented tasks including training, scheduling, and motivating employees.
Beyond food preparation, this role demands adherence to safety and security protocols, ensuring a clean and professional appearance, and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information. The Cook must anticipate guest needs, work collaboratively with team members, and contribute positively to the work environment. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, and performing other duties as required by supervisors. The position is well suited for candidates with technical or vocational training and at least three years of related work experience, although no supervisory experience or formal certification is necessary.
