MedTrans, a division of Medline Industries, LP, operates as Medline's private fleet, delivering lifesaving medical products directly to commercial and residential customers across the United States. With a fleet of over 1,900 newer trucks and a network of more than 50 distribution centers, MedTrans guarantees efficient, reliable, and timely delivery service, providing 1-day shipping to 95% of the country. Medline Industries, LP, a leader in the healthcare supply chain, has a strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, continually investing in technology, employee development, and community well-being. The company culture is founded on inclusivity, respect, and professional growth, underscoring its nationwide reputation as a dependable distributor of essential medical products. The employment opportunity offered is for a Lead Driver position within MedTrans, a vital role where the employee acts as both a skilled operator and a driving force behind the local transportation team. This role involves operating a straight truck to transport life-saving medical products to local customers, ensuring on-time, accurate, and safe deliveries. The Lead Driver acts as a motivator and resource for other drivers, effectively communicating between the local transportation team and management to maintain smooth operations. The role demands hands-on responsibilities like loading, securing, and unloading products; adherence to stringent safety regulations; maintaining travel and cargo logs in compliance with federal and state guidelines; and performing vehicle inspections to ensure readiness. This position is not only about driving but also about building positive customer relationships by addressing questions, providing documentation, and supporting customer needs during deliveries. The Lead Driver's responsibilities are critical to sustaining Medline's reputation for dependable service in delivering medical products that impact patient lives. The salary for this role ranges from $28.75 to $41.75 per hour, varying based on location, education, experience, and skills. Employees benefit from comprehensive health, dental, vision, and prescription plans along with life and disability insurance, generous paid time off, 401(k) with company matching contributions, and opportunities for professional growth and development. MedTrans prides itself on maintaining a safe working environment, where safety is the number one priority. The work schedule supports work-life balance with local routes that allow drivers to be home daily. Medline also promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring every employee feels they belong and have the necessary tools for success. The overall package makes the Lead Driver role an attractive career choice for qualified commercial drivers seeking a stable, rewarding position with a reputable company in the medical supply industry.
