Job Requirements

work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
must be at least 18 years old to hold the Lead Cashier position
knowledge of Ulta Beauty’s policies and procedures
ability to handle cash and perform all transactions accurately
maintain compliance with dress code
physical ability to perform frequent bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, reaching, and continuous mobility
continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during shifts

Job Qualifications

high school diploma preferred
minimum 2 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve
demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and sales
experience in addressing guest concerns professionally
success in exceeding sales goals and training new hires
proficiency with point of sale systems and Apple devices
excellent written and verbal communication skills
strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
ability to work independently and within a team
ability to build and maintain customer relationships
adaptable and able to use good judgment under pressure

Job Duties

contribute to meeting or exceeding store retail and service sales goals, including omni-channel and guest loyalty
ensure each guest receives exceptional service through greeting, engagement, and personalized product recommendations
courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
pair guests with associates for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations
book appointments for services and in-store events to support sales goals
maintain replenishment, organization, and cleanliness of cashwrap displays and impulse fixtures
maintain regular attendance and punctuality
contribute to an inclusive environment supporting teammates and guests
assist leadership with cashier chat ins and outs and associate exit inspections
stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests
promote guest loyalty programs, including credit and Ulta Beauty app
train and cross-train associates in cashiering
engage and influence peers to achieve productivity and performance targets
ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and dress code
complete opening and closing register functions as directed
maintain store cleanliness throughout
protect company assets through adherence to safety, inventory control, and loss prevention standards
execute other operational tasks as assigned
